Welcome to Oxylium. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Location Data

Oxylium is an environmental intelligence application. To provide you with accurate air quality data (AQI) and optimized routing, we collect precise location data:

• Foreground: When the app is open, to display local AQI data and calculate your routes.
• Background: Location data is used solely to maintain the accuracy of real-time environmental calculations while moving. No history of your movements is recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Device Identifiers

We collect technical identifiers (Device ID, hardware type, system version) to ensure application stability and synchronize your local preferences.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data to:

• Calculate the Air Quality Index at your exact location.
• Propose routes that minimize exposure to pollutants.
• Send alert notifications in case of pollution peaks (if authorized).
• Display relevant advertisements via Google AdMob (unless the "No Ads" option is active).
• Manage your purchases via official services (Google Play Store / Apple App Store).

3. Data Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. However, we share certain technical information with our partners to operate the application:

• Google AdMob: Used to serve advertisements. Google may collect advertising identifiers to personalize ads. This collection stops if you subscribe to the "No Ads" option.
• Payment Platforms: Transactions for the "No Ads" option are processed exclusively by Google Play Store or Apple App Store. We never have access to your bank details or payment information.
• HERE SDK: Used for maps and navigation. Anonymized location data may be processed by HERE to improve their services. © 2024-2026 HERE.
• Firebase (Google Cloud): We use Firebase Firestore to store your preferences anonymously.

4. User Accounts and Storage

Oxylium does not require the creation of a user account (name, email, password). Your location data is processed on the fly and is never saved.

• Your preferences (language, favorite city) are stored locally. No route history is persisted.

5. Your Rights and Control

You maintain full control over your data:

• Location: You can enable or disable location access (foreground/background) at any time via your Android or iOS system settings.
• Notifications: You can disable pollution alerts in the application settings.
• Deletion: Since we do not have nominal accounts, deleting the application generally results in the loss of the link with locally stored data. For any specific request to purge Firestore data linked to your device identifier, please contact us.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures (including encryption of local data via Secure Storage) to protect your information from unauthorized access.
